New Student Registration and Testing for SY 2015 2016

REGISTRATION AND TESTING FOR NEW STUDENTS
(Does not apply to students currently attending Moanalua Middle School or Aliamanu Middle Schools)

Testing & Registration Dates 2015 – 2016
  • ·       Wednesday, June 17th @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Monday, June 22nd @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Wednesday, June 24th @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Monday, June 29th @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Wednesday, July 1st @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Wednesday July 8th @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Wednesday, July 15th @ 8:30 a.m.
  • ·       Monday, July 20th @ 8:30 a.m. (Late Registrations only)
  • ·       Wednesday, July 22nd @ 8:30 a.m. (Late Registrations only)

  **Students must be present for testing.

Please call (808) 305-1024 starting in May, 2015 to make an appointment for testing. Appointments must be made in advance. Please come to the registrar’s office to pick up a registration packet prior to registration/testing date. 

A)    Testing – Reading and Math test (reading test will take roughly 35 minutes – math test will take roughly 1.5 hours depending on whether a math test needs to be taken. (STUDENT NEEDS TO BE PRESENT. ONCE TESTING HAS STARTED STUDENT WILL BE ASKED TO RESCHEDULE TESTING DATE IF THEY ARE LATE) 

B)   Items to bring in:
1.     Out-of-State Students
a.     **Negative TB reading taken after August 1, 2014, by a U.S. doctor and all required immunizations (especially MMR & Varicella)
b.    **Complete physical exam taken within a year by a U.S. doctor or an appointment date to see a doctor
c.     **Proof of Residency (statement from housing – military personnel only; [utility bills, cable bill, letter from resident manager on condo letterhead (if family just moved in), etc], 2 different documents) or approve Geographic Exception (green copy) if parents live out of district
d.     Unofficial school records (transcript(s) or report card).
f.      Passport (foreign students)
2.     Hawaii Private School Students
a.     Release Cards and F14 Health Card
b.    Proof of Residency (statement from housing – military personnel only; [utility bills, cable bill, letter from resident manager on condo letterhead (if family just moved in), etc], 2 different documents) or approve Geographic Exception (green copy) if parents live out of district
c.     Power of Attorney – if PARENTS ARE NOT living on island
d.     Birth Certificate
3.     Hawaii Public School Students: (Except students presently at Moanalua Middle School)
a.     Release Card from previous school
b.    Proof of Residency (statement from housing – military personnel only; [utility bills, cable bill, letter from resident manager on condo letterhead (if family just moved in), etc], 2 different documents) or approve Geographic Exception (green copy) if parents live out of district
c.     Birth Certificate

**UNABLE TO START SCHOOL WITHOUT THESE DOCUMENTS


Parents/legal guardian must be present when registering student.  There are several documents that must be filled by the parent/legal guardian. Please allow time to fill out these documents or pick them up prior to testing.

REGISTRATION VIDEOS - Electives

Please watch these videos to aid in the selection of electives for the 2015 - 2016 Registration process. Think very carefully about your electives and select electives that are interesting to you, will aid in your college/career readiness, and are electives that you are willing to commit to.  Remember, there will be NO CHANGES next school year.


Registration 2015 Kick-Off!

Registration 2015-2016 starts today, Thursday, January 15.  All materials are being distributed to students via their homeroom class.

Please remember that all Registration Cards are due back on January 29 during homeroom.

If a student misplaces their card or needs any assistance, please stop by the Registrar's office during non-class time.

Registration 2015 - 2016 Important Dates to Remember

Hello everyone,
before heading off to winter break the Registrar Office would like to share the Registration 2015-2016 dates to remember.

Dates to Remember
            January 15, 2015 – Registration Materials Distributed during C.A.P.
            January 20, 2015 – Registration Night 6 p.m. – Cafeteria
            January 22, 2015 – A.P. Night 6 p.m. – Cafeteria
            January 29, 2015 – Registration Cards Due to HR teacher

In addition to these dates we will also be dedicating the following after school tutorials for Registration assistance:

            Monday, January 26, 2:51 – 3:20 p.m.
            Wednesday, January 28, 2:51 – 3:20 p.m.

The Registration Catalog for 2015-2016 is already available online here at this link.  If you haven't done so, please begin looking through it to start selecting classes and electives for next year.

Registration for SY 2015 - 2016

Registration for next school year will begin on January 15th, 2015. In an effort to improve planning and student learning, there are several new procedures and policies being implemented this year. Please review all of the registration materials (registration cards and catalogs) very closely.

Check back here in January for posted catalog and materials.

Registration cards are due no later than January 29th, 2015.

Students will then receive a printout during quarter 4 to verify their courses and make any necessary changes. We are asking all families to discuss and carefully review all course selections and to adhere by the January 29th due date. At the start of next school year NO CHANGES will be allowed without administrative approval. Mahalo for your kokua and cooperation.
